Gerald Leon Dean departed this life Wednesday December 2, 2020.  He was born to the loving parents of Thurman and Pauline Dean on December 4, 1955 in Kansas City, KS.

He attended Central High School.  Thurman and Pauline raised their children as Baptist and attended Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.  Gerald worked several jobs in the mechanic industry.  In his earlier years, Gerald loved racing cars.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing cards and dominos.

Proceeding him in death, his mother (Pauline Grubbs Dean - 1985) and father (Thurman Dean - 2006); two brothers, Allen Charles Dean and Gregory Thurman Dean.

His cherished memories are held by his sister, Brenda (Robert) Sylvan, brother, Ronald (Theresa) Dean of Kansas City, MO, two uncles, Percy (Ivoe) Dean, and William (Maria) Dean of Denver, CO.  He also leaves behind six nieces and five nephews along with a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and family friends.

Services for Mr. Dean will be held Friday, December 11, 2020 at 12:00 pm at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel North.  Burial at Brooking Cemetery.  Friends may call 11:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
