Gerald Le-Andrue Dixon was born on April 28, 1984.  He was the result of love shared between his mother Leashell A. Jackson and father, Gerald P. Dixon.  Gerald had a wonderful childhood.  He attended elementary school at K. B. Richardson in Kansas City, MO.  He entered the Raytown School District from Middle to High School.

Gerald's love for his creator (God) moved him to unite with the Friendship Baptist Church at age 10.  After receiving a brown belt in Karate at age 17, he graduated from Raytown North High School in 2003.

Gerald furthered his Christian growth at Friendship being an active Junior Layman, a member of New Era District, a lifetime member of the NAACP and a member of the Naphthali Sheepfold.

Gerald remained an active member at Friendship until his departure from Kansas City in 2014.  He also entered college after graduation and received a Bachelor Degree in Liberal Arts from University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC) in May 2007.

He accepted a job with the Kansas City Board of Education as a Para-Professional until 2013, when he retired due to a back injury.

In 2014, Gerald moved to Denver, CO, where he believed his health would be better.  He made several visits back to Kansas City, the last being Thanksgiving 2016.  Gerald's life was taken away at the early age of 35 September 21, 2019, in Colorado.

Preceding him in death were, Anna Rae Jackson, maternal great-grandmother, Doris M. Jones, paternal grandmother, Barbara J. Slade, maternal grandmother, Sylvester Jones, paternal grandfather, Leaford A. Jackson, Jr. maternal grandfather, Gilbert P. Dixon, uncle and Patrick S. Jackson, brother.

He leaves to mourn his tragic death: Leashell A. Jackson and Gerald P. Dixon, mother and father; Michael Dixon and Robert Johnson Jr., uncles; Anita Givens, aunt; Juanita L. Duncan, godmother; Kenneth L. Dale, brother; Patrice S. Jackson, sister; Damond and Devon Davis-Jackson, nephews; Lyric Lee Dixon, daughter and a host of cousins, friends and associates.

Memorial Services for Mr. Dixon will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 1, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church 3530 Chelsea Dr. KCMO.
