Gerry Ewell was born July 21 ^st , 1947 to LeRoy H. Ewell and Barbara J. Love in Kansas City, MO.   He was the oldest of 7.

He gave his life to Christ at a very young age. Gerry graduated from Lincoln High School in Kansas City, MO.

Gerry held various occupations, but his most beloved job was driving a cab.  He knew every nook and cranny of the city, and loved meeting new people.

He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with his friends, and fussing with Jessie Mae over the phone.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, and his sister Era Dianne Wilson.

He is survived by his siblings James Ewell (Zeke), Laree Ewell, Dana Warner, Mark Holmes, and Michael Ewell; his children, Treva Smith and Michael Ewell; his grandchildren, Charity Smith, Lawrence Smith III, Daniel Smith, Victor Smith, Michael Ewell II, and Miya Ewell; a host of beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Services for Mr. Ewell will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private disposition.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the chapel.
