Gracie Frye was born November 26, 1931, to Clarence and Ida Ghoshon in Little Rock, Arkansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, her husband and a grandchild.

Gracie spent most of her life in Kansas City, Missouri coming her when she was in her 20's. She worked at St. Joseph and Baptist Hospitals until her retirement.  She also worked for a group home until it closed .

Gracie lived to shop and travel.  Mother Frye also loved church and was a good and faithful member of Redemption Church of God In Christ.

Mother Frye entered the nursing home in her later years, until September 30, 2019, where she spent her last days with her family at the home.

Mother Gracie Frye departed this earthly life on Saturday, February 20, 2021.

She is survived by: one son, Harrison; her daughter, Yolande; four grandchildren, Carlton (Dom'Eka), Carlos, Ira and Tamara; seven great-grandchildren, Brittany (Kevin), Brianna, Jayden, Jaydea, Xavier, Jeremiah and Legend and a host of relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Frye were held Thursday, February 25, 2021, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 26, 2021, Leavenworth National Cemetery.
