Helen Louise Saxton Brown was born July 11, 1948, to parents, Leon Saxton, Sr. and Lillie Jean Washington in Kansas City, Kansas.

Helen, also known as" BeBe", departed this life on October 29, 2020, at the age of 72.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Leon Saxton, Jr.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Greystone Heights Baptist Church in 1957.  Her faithful walk with Christ continued as she became a member of The Word Ministry's which lasted until the time of her death.

Helen was united in marriage to Lorn Brown, Jr. on June 26, 1992.  Their friendship blossomed into a loving marriage full of fun and laughter that will never be forgotten.  She loved doing puzzles, watching cowboy pictures, watching cooking shows, and relaxing with a glass of wine.  Her immaculate cleaning, delicious cooking, strict house rules, ability to make up names for people, and wonderful sense of humor brings a smile to all that knew her.  She welcomed others into her house, some who didn't leave for years, and provided loving guidance to all that knew her.

Helen graduated from Paseo High School in 1967. Served with honors in the U.S. Army, completed Cosmetology/Barber training, and retired from General Motors (UAW Local 31).

She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all that knew her.  She was loved because of her kindness, dedication, and sacrifice for all she knew.  She was and still is a true blessing from God.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted husband, Lorn Brown, Jr.; daughters, Bon Marie Gardner and Zana Nolen; sisters, Ida Saxton and Mallory Saxton; brothers, Larry Saxton (Tanyna) and Michael Saxton; grandchildren, Ciara Dolphus, Mya Nolen, Cheyenne Dolphus, Daniel Dolphus and Jasmine Nolen, great-grandchildren, Edris Dolphus, Kali Nolen, Lillie Nolen, Jeremiah Dolphus; pets, Harley Davidson Brown and Indie Nolen and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, step children, in-laws, other relatives, and many treasured friends.

Services for Mrs. Brown will be held 11:00 A. M. Monday, November 9, 2020, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial Leavenworth National Cemetery.
