Helen Eugenia Logan, 85, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born June 28, 1934 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Helen was the fourth child in a family of six born to William S. Hawkins and Katherine Frances Wilson Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Laura Winston and Mary Hawkins, brothers, William Jr., Richard and Robert Hawkins, Son, Andrew R. Logan Jr.

Helen was educated in the Leavenworth school district. She later relocated to Olathe, KS where she married and started a family. She worked as a Certified Nursing Aide and Certified Medication Technician for a few years until 1973 when she went back to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She went back to school in 1986 to work towards her RN but had to stop due to funding just shy of her clinical. She worked and taught in the nursing field for over 30 years until retiring in 1996 from the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Helen resided at St. James Place apartments for over sixteen years where she worked as a building monitor.

She is survived by three daughters, Rita Duncan, Andrea Robinson, and Dawn Glasgow; two Son-in-laws, Rodney Duncan Sr. and Joseph Robinson; five grandsons and four granddaughters; great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; a host of other family members and many friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday April 10, 2020 at E.S. Eley & Sons Chapel North Kansas City, MO and Interment at Twelve Gates Cemetery Kansas City, MO.
