Henry Guess Jr. was born November 20, 1940 in Kansas City, M0. He was the third oldest child of seven born to Henry Guess Sr. and Ophelia Guess.

His parents, wife Carolyn Hunter-Guess, daughter Carmelita Guess. Brothers, Earl (Gene), Milton Sr. (Danny), Wendell (Ronnie) and sister Annetta (Nett) preceded him in death.

At an early age Jr. accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior while attending New Hope Baptist Church, Kansas City MO.

Jr. attended Manuel High School and studied brick and stone masonry. He met and married Carolyn Hunter in 1959 to this union four children were born. He also has a daughter Latonya Venable.

Jr. started his own company Ace Construction and patented it to be able to lay brick block and stones on homes, buildings and store fronts throughout Kansas City, Belton, North KC, Mission KS and other areas.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Janna Guess, (Henry Daniels), Latonya Venable-Alabama, Malcolm Guess Sr. (Rhonda), Terri Jackson, (James - Arkansas), Eric Guess; brother, Londell  Guess (Palzetta); and sister, Sandra Guess-Brown.

His legacy includes 30 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Guess will be held 12:00pm Saturday October 22, 2022 at E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00am until service time Saturday at the chapel.
