Brother Herbert Powell is of the Apostolic Faith and Doctrine.

Herbert was born on February 7, 1945, in Mangum, Oklahoma to the union of Jack and Pearline Powell.

Herbert worked Security for the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art until his retirement.

Herbert served in the United States Navy from 1963-1967.

Herbert married Doris on July 24, 1967.  They were married for 56 years. They faithfully kept their marriage covenant until God called him home.

He will truly be missed by his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Doris E. Powell; one daughter, Latonya M. Powell; one son, Linc M. Powell; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers; and a host of nieces and nephews.
