Ida Jappa's Obituary
Ida Jappa, 23, was born in Corte d'Ivoire to Esther Jappa on January 1, 1995. From birth Atta Jappa took Ida in as her daughter. On September 16, 2004, Atta Jappa travel to the United States with her daughter, Ida Jappa and Sarah Jappa and son, Musa Adama to provide a better life and education for her children. Ida was 9 years old when they came to the United States, a bright girl with the dream of someday helping her family back home in Africa and becoming an artist. Ida loved learning new things and she had a passion for education and a love for art.
In 2006, Ida was diagnose with epilepsy. With the disorder, Ida fought through the countless amount of ER visits and surgeries; it never stopped her from trying to pursuing her dreams. As the years went on her diagnoses got worst. Ida had to stop going to school because of the unanticipated seizures, even that didn't stop her from trying to learn new things and chasing her dreams.
Ida was a fun loving person that was very friendly to everyone. She loved being around people and always kept a smile on her face. Despite having a whole platoon of adults catering to her every whim, she was the most even-tempered and well-behaved child. It is no exaggeration to say that we were stopped in the streets by strangers who complimented her manners and behavior.
We want to let her know that she did a great job and wish her a safe journey. We will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy and her love for life, family and friends. She worked very hard all her life up until the very end. She made a difference in the lives of many. We invite you to join us and celebrate together.
Services for Ms. Jappa will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Revival of Hope Ministries in Kansas City, MO. Burial XII Gates Memorial gardens. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
