Jacob Pankey, Jr. was born on July 17, 1963, to the union of Jacob Pankey, Sr. and Christine Adams in Kansas City, KS.  He was the second youngest of four children born to this union. Jacob is preceded in death by both parents, one uncle, Ocie Pankey and one aunt, L. Doris Pankey.

Jacob received his early education in the Kansas City, Kansas School District.  After high school, he moved to St. Paul, Minnesota.  He met and married Karen.  To this union, they had one child, Jacob Pankey, III.  After his marriage dissolved, he had two daughters, Ashley and Crystal Pankey.

Jacob worked various warehouse jobs until he became disabled. He moved back to Kansas City, KS.

After moving back to Kansas, he was introduced to Jesus Christ.  Jacob, later became a faithful member of Welborn Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS.  He was a very reliable member in serving in various roles in the church.  One of his most cherish roles was security for the church during Vacation Bible School.  The children loved being around Jacob.  He was a father figure to the children.

Jacob loved to sing during worship service.  He was quick to give his testimony as to how God had delivered him from his past.  He always had a smile on his face.  He always had a positive word to say to you to lift up your day.

Jacob will be sorely missed by many.

Jacob entered into eternity on February 19, 2021, at home.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Jacob Pankey, III; two daughters, Ashley Pankey and Crystal Pankey; four sisters, Shirley Arnold, Lizzy McGoo, Pearle Birmingham, Katherine Brown and a host of nieces and nephew, friends.

Service for Mr. Pankey will be held 2:00 P.M.  Sunday, February 28, 2021, at E. S. Eley & Sons Chapel. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until service time Sunday at the chapel.
