James Lincoln Click, Jr. affectionately known as "Click" or "Bay Brother" was born October 22, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri to Reverend James Click, Sr. and Lily J. Click.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters, Rose Click-Anderson and Emma Victoria Powell; and one brother, Jonathan Click as well as a godson, Andre N. Wilson.  Also preceding him in death was the mother of his children, Brenda J Satterfield.

Mr. Click was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School System.  He graduated from Lincoln High in 1961.  Immediately following, he enlisted in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962.  After his service, he worked various jobs until he became a truck driver where he reached retirement age from his employment with P.I.E. Trucking.

He met a special lady, Brenda Wilson-Satterfield and from that union, his only 2 children, James L. Wilson and Roseanna P. Wilson were born.

He was a lifelong member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church under the leadership of Rev. Michael L. Murray.  James sang with the Metropolitan Male Chorus Ensemble as well as the District Choir.  He also volunteered with the feeding homeless ministry and enjoyed spreading the Word of God to the less fortunate.

James' greatest love was his family. Whether it was niece, nephew, grandchild, cousin, etc., his love for people knew no bounds.  He was always willing to help or offer a kind word.  Many people referred to him as a "2nd father" or "Grandfather".  His generosity knew no limits.  Pops, Unc, PawPaw, Click, Bay Brother, etc. would give you his last.  He will always be known for his calm demeanor and the way he handled adversity.  If anyone, family or not, needed anything, James was always available as "no" was not in his vocabulary.  Whether it be a ride, money, or a kind word, he was always there.

James also loved and cared deeply for his older sister, Helen Brown.  They shared an unbreakable bond.  He had a hand in raising and disciplining his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  He instilled the love of the Lord and pleaded the Blood in each of us.  He taught us to be kind and always treat people right.  There's not a soul that crossed his path that he didn't treat well or have genuine respect for.  He was a role model to all as he always spoke the truth as well as spoke life into any conversation and situation.  James displayed a spirit of meekness, kindness, and loyalty.  Honor, modesty, and selflessness were qualities that best described this man of God.  If you had the pleasure of meeting him, you could say you've encountered an angel right here on earth.

The" Rippa" was a nickname given to him due to his stylish wardrobe, his suits, ties, and brim's of all kinds.  And let's not forget the shoes! You could always find James with his bible in his hand.  James also had a love of Western movies and often thought of himself playing the role of the actors and was serious about it.

He labored in this life and will now be rewarded in Heaven for his selfless service.  He was loved by all. He will be TRULY missed, but his words, acts, and wisdom will forever be engraved in our hearts.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his children, James Wilson "Moon" (Rachael) and Roseanna "Mama Girl" both of Kansas City, MO; sister, Helen L. Brown also of Kansas City, MO; 9 grandchildren, Darryale, Kansas City, MO,  James "Jay" (Alisha) Texas, Robert, Georgia, Zach (Alyssa) Florida, Danyelle, Brianna, James "Pooh", Lonnie "L.J.", all of Kansas City, MO and Jayla, Texas; and 22 great-grandchildren.  Also, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, too many to point out as they all were very near and dear to his heart.
