Master Sergeant (Retired) Jay D. Robinson , of Wyoming, Delaware, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024, at the age of 59. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 2, 1964, to J.D. and the late Myrtle Lee Luter.

Jay was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School district, graduating from Southwest High School class of 1982, where he was in the marching band and played the cornet and tuba. His musical talents were also showcased at 35th Street Missionary Baptist Church where he played the drums.

He joined the United States military in 1984. He served 26 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant. After retirement, he worked at Harrington Logistics as a truck driver. He was also a competitive roller skater and won many medals.

Jay will be remembered most for his gentle soul, kind heart, and infectious smile. He will be sadly missed by all the lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elmira Shoates; and mother, Myrtle Lee Luter.

He is survived by his father, J.D. Luter of Grandview, MO; wife, Twila Robinson of Wyoming, DE; siblings, Joyce Robinson of Cedar Park, TX, La-Rhonda Murphy of El Paso, TX, El-Vester Robinson of Kansas City, MO, and Ja-Renna Floyd of Grandview, MO; nieces and nephews, Janis Walker of Houston, TX, Karita Robinson of El Paso, TX, Sharon Robinson of Kansas City, MO, Dr. Ja-Ronika (Thomas) Veldheer of Key West, FL, and Du-Wan Floyd of Columbia, SC; he also leaves a large extended family and a close circle of friends.
