Jean Glass Arnold passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at the age of 71 in Indianapolis, IN.  She was born on February 26, 1949, in St. Louis, MO to John and Lola Mae Glass.  She was preceded in death by her father John R. Glass; mother, Lola Mae Glass; sister, Shirley Robinson and brothers, John R. Glass, Jr. and Kenneth Glass.

Jean graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967, and worked briefly at McDonald Douglas before moving to Kansas City, MO where she graduated from Aline Jefferson Beauty Academy as a Licensed Cosmetologist.  Jean practiced cosmetology for many years at the Williams House of Beauty in Kansas City, MO.  She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after more than 30 years of civil service.

Jean accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a life-long member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO.

Jean married Andrew William Arnold and to this union two sons were born, Damon LaMont Arnold and Anthony William Arnold and on March 20, 1980, a third son Brandon Nicholas Arnold.  Brandon preceded her in death on August 5, 1997.

For the last 20 years, Jean was cared for by her twin sister, Joan Wicks of Oceanside, CA and sister, Rosie Fields of Indianapolis, IN.

Jean enjoyed music and dancing and she had a joyful spirit and infectious laugh.  She was known for her holiday dinners; Chittlin's in particular.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves to mourn her passing: sons, Damon and Anthony; grandchildren, Kiyale, Brittani, Nicholas, Aylijah, Micah, Gaberiel (Gabe); sisters, Elmetta William (James dee), Lola Williams (Frank), Elaine Johnson; brother, William "Bud" Glass (Pat); sister Rosie Lee Fields; twin sister, Joan Wicks, and host of nieces and nephews and her lifelong best friend Evelyn Hodges.

Services for Mrs. Arnold will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 9, 2020, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial Brooking Cemetery.  Visitation 12:00 P. M. until service time Saturday at the chapel.
