Jerome Foster Sr. born to William D. Foster and Vera M. Foster on November 18, 1944, in Kansas City Kansas. Also, of this marriage fifteen other children were born. Surviving are Celest West (Edward), Kathleen Mashburn (JR), Bruce Foster, and Linda Thrower (Evern) and many nieces, nephews.

The family moved to Kansas City Missouri in 1961. Jerome graduated from Central High School in 1964 where he was accomplished in basketball, track, and football.

He served in the United States Army where he finished as a Specialist Five.

He married Earnestine Reed and leaves his stepson of that marriage Darrell Reed.

He later married Toi Hamilton and of that marriage leaves his son Jerome Foster Jr and five stepchildren Delaiah, Barrell, Talitha, Joshua and Elijah Beraiah.

Jerome served in security for both the Kansas City and Center school districts and retired from Center school district. He enjoyed his retirement doing what he loved most by spending it with his family.

Services for Mr. Foster were held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 1st, 2021 at Saint James United Methodist Church. Burial Wednesday, July 7 ^th , 2021 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time, Thursday, at the church.
