JoAnn Cullors was born October 21, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was one of four children born to Lizzie Mae Billups. Her mother, along with her late husband, Ralph Cullors, Sr., a grandson, Jayden Lockett, grandparents, Cornelius and Elizabeth Isaac and several other family members preceded her in death.

She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1958, along with her family. JoAnn was known by many family and friends as "JoJo". She was a very strong, vocal and compassionate woman who loved her family very much. She was concerned about everybody's wellbeing. We all admired her extra ordinary gift of memory. Before she retired from the Kansas City School District, JoAnn worked as a cook and was awesome at it. Her home was always filled with family and friends who came by for food and fellowship. Everybody was welcome and you didn't even have to call first. She would give you advice that you wanted to hear and some that you didn't want to hear.

JoAnn "JoJo" Cullors departed this earthly life on Monday, March 18, 2019, in Kansas City, MO. Before JoAnn departed this earth she accepted Jesus Christ into her heart.

She leaves to cherish her memory: four sons, An'tuan Cullors (LaShonda), Dion Cullors (Nikki) both of KCMO; Ralph Cullors, III and Ralvell Cullors of Oakland, CA; one brother, Charles L. Isaac of Lee's Summit, MO; two sisters, Vickey Seals (Willard) of Arlington, TX and Sharon Stowers of KCMO; a special friend who was considered a brother, David Minton of KCMO; six grandchildren, Dion Cullors, Brooke Cullors, An'tuan Cullors, Nyah Cullors, A'lyssia Cullors and A'Leya Nance all of KCMO and a host of other family and friends.

Services for Mrs. Cullors will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M until service time Saturday at the chapel.
