Joe Lee McCorkle, III was born February 28, 1979 to the union of Joe Lee McCorkle, II and Alma McCorkle.

Joe began his educational journey in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School District.  He completed his high school diploma from Central High School in 1999.

Throughout his formative and adolescence years, Joe attended Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas.  Once reaching adulthood, Joe was baptized at Rescue Baptist Church.

Over the years, Joe held employment positions with Cinemark Theatres, Avila University, Inner City Oil Station, and Manheim Kansas City Transportation.

Joe departed this life on May 7, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his brother Brian Carter (Linda).  He is survived by parents, Joe and Alma Mccorkle.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a fiancé, Teena Johnson; a son, Joron McCorkle; two sisters, Valerie McCorkle, Kerra Akanbi (Aby), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.  Joe had a gentle personality that was loved by many.  He will be greatly missed.

Services for Mr. McCorkle, III will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 14, 2020, at E. S. Eley & Son Chapel.  Private Disposition.  Visitation 9:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the chapel.
