John Elmer Morris' Obituary
John Elmer Morris was born August 8, 1942, to Elmer Hayes and Delois Lee in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother and two sisters.
He received his education in the Kansas City Missouri Public School District. John confessed his hope in Christ at an early age. He was a member of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army receiving an Honorable discharge in February 1963. John was the founder of Post 779, in American Legion. He was employed as a bus driver fin the Kansas City Missouri School System.
John Elmer Morris departed this earthly life on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the V. A. Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
He leaves to mourn his homegoing: his son, John Morris, Jr.; three brothers, James Lee, Terry Lee and Dwight Lee; two sisters, Joyce Coleman and Carolyn Lee and a host of nieces, nephews; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, special friends, other relatives and friends.
Services for Mr. Morris will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday at the chapel.
