Johnny Lee Ford Peterson, II , a long-time resident of Oklahoma City, died June 6, 2023. He was born on November 19, 1972, in Kansas City, Missouri and was the son of Willa Burnett and Johnny Lee Ford Peterson, I. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents William and Patricia Smith and one Uncle Eugene Smith.

Johnny was a proud knight of Southeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri where he graduated high school in 1990. He served in the United States Navy and the University of Oklahoma ROTC program, before earning his Bachelor of Management Information Systems degree in 1995 from his beloved University of Oklahoma. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2009.

For over 25+ years, Johnny was an IT leader and a call center director. He was an avid sports fan. He was passionate about his University of Oklahoma Sooner football team and Los Angeles Lakes, with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant being his all-time favorite players.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Willa Peterson Burnett of Hiram, Georgia; his children, Christian (Bailey), Kaitlyn, Kacie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his former spouse, Danyel Peterson; their children, Jacqueline and Julian of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Kaden and Bailee and Adriane both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Anita of Kansas City, Missouri; two nieces, Jasmine and Jalexus; three nephews, Christian, Keith, and Maurice all of Kansas City, Missouri; extended family, Robert Burnett, Tiffany Burnett, Sherelyn Hawthorne, Connie Cox, and Sidney Woods; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Let not sorrows replace the love and memories of our father, son, uncle, nephew and friend Johnny .
