Josie M. Donato was born February 11, 1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the union of Claire and Mose Wagner.  She was preceded in death by both parents and sister Benetha Williams.

Josie was a faithful member of Faith Temple Inter-Denominational Church of Kansas City, MO. Her pastor was Bishop Ronald B. Andrews.  She served as a Missionary Director of the Youth Greeters, Nursery Sunday School Teacher, Pulpit Assistant, Armor Bearer to Lady Andrews and finally elevated to the position of Evangelist.  In 2019 Elder Kelvin L White, Sr. took the mantle and the church name changed to Faith Temple Ministries. Josie remained at the church still as Evangelist and Administrator.

Josie obtained her "Secretarial" Diploma from Kansas City Business College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1974.  "Manicurist" license from Grandview Beauty College in 1976.  In 1990, she obtained her "GED" and continued her education by obtaining her Associate Degree in "Business Administration" from Olympic College in Bremerton, WA.  She returned to Kansas City in 1992 and attended TAD Technical Institute where she studied for "Para Legal."  Josie's life work was in the Customer Service field with various companies.  At the time of her "Home Going" she was retired.

Josie leaves to celebrate her homegoing, her son Michael J. Donato; five grandchildren, Aubriana, Michelle, Michael, Makala and Adriana Donato; eight greatgrandchildren of Grandview, Missouri; brothers, Arthur R. Wagner (Rosetta); nieces and nephew, Deidra, Reggie, Darryl, Reggie, Raymond, Sonja, Dominick, Regina, Brandon, and Brittany all of Grandview, Missouri; Frederick J. Martin of Lansing, KS, Michael C Pruitt (Cherrie) of Cedar Hill, TX; brother-in-law, Robert Williams of Grady, Arkansas; cousin, Grach J. Sanders of Suisun City, CA; a very special niece, Mariah; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
