Joyce E. Bradley, 58, transitioned to be with the Lord on December 9, 2020.  She was born on February 24, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the union of James C. Bradley Sr. and Louella Bradley.

Both parents, three brothers; Rev. Curley Bradley, Andre' Bradley, and Rev. Quincey Bradley Sr., all have preceded her in death.

She professed hope in Christ and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev Herbert Eason of the Morning Star Baptist Church, Kansas City, Missouri, where she sang in the Youth Choir and played piano for the Men's Chorus in the early 1980's.

Joyce grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Lincoln Academy High School in 1980. Joyce attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, on a music scholarship.

Joyce was a soprano and sang in many gospel choirs throughout the city and she was the Minister of Music for several churches. Joyce was an incredibly talented singer and musician. In addition to her singing ability, she was a very gifted cook, seamstress, hair stylist, and decorator.

She loved to cook for her family and friends.  Her holiday meals were legendary, and they were feast fixed for a king, and there were always plenty of leftovers.

Joyce leaves to cherish her loving memories her five siblings, James C. Bradley Jr., Cornelius Washington, David (Ajene) Washington, Cheri Bradley-Morrow, and Karen Bradley, one stepbrother Rev. Townsend Barnette, eight nieces and five nephews, and host of great nieces and nephews, a Goddaughter, Carnita Washington, one sister-in-law, Patricia Bradley, and a great host of family and friends.

Services for Ms. Bradley will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.  Burial Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
