Katherine Jean Westmoreland was born January 17, 1944 in Big Creek, Mississippi to Eria Westmoreland and Albertha Westmoreland. She was proceeded by both parents; two daughters, Schiquita Wilkes and Aretha Westmoreland; three sisters, Willie Lee Pittman, Eloise Griffin, Jossie Mae Doss; two brothers, Lester Terr and Terry Westmoreland.

Katherine accepted Christ in her life at an early age. She was a member at Second Baptist Church for many years. She attended school in Kansas City, Missouri. She was employed at Plaza Ford Ideal until retiring in the late 80's.

Katherine loved traveling, attending family reunions, shopping, working crossword puzzles and being with family that meant the world to her. She would open her home to family that needed a place to stay and a good home cooked meal.

Katherine entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Center Point Hospital with her family by her side.

Katherine leaves to cherish her homegoing, two daughters, June Fry (Ritchie) and Martha Mathews (Andrew); four grandchildren, Rashard Fry, Malik Westmoreland, Cortez Fletcher, LaTisha Fletcher; eight great grandchildren; her special family, the Fry's; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
