The sun rose on June 13,1957 and Kelvin Michael Bowen was born to Hubert and Leota Bowen in Inglewood, California (both parents proceeded him in death along with his sister Theresa Miller).

Kelvin begin his education in the Los Angeles County school district. He has always had a brilliant mind for learning. He was very driven when it came to educating himself and others and was still enrolled today as an active student of Kansas City Community College. He enjoyed  teaching, mentoring, cooking, music, tinkering under a car hood, creasing his jeans, combing that (FRO), and  let's not leave out the main ingredient. That STRUT, boy can that man STRUT. He had a walk like no other, standing tall, shoulders back, and head held high.

He began his college education at Compton Community College, Compton, Ca, where he achieved an Associate of Science Degree in Electronics along with several certificates along the way. Kelvin started his employment journey with TRW, of Los Angeles, Ca, as a Semiconductor Analyst. Kelvin decided he wanted to continue his growth and help others.

Kelvin found his calling as a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor at Harmony Hall, Downtown Los Angeles, Ca 1997. During this time, he began to mentor men with their journey to rehabilitation.

Kelvin married his high school sweetheart, Donna Marie Burris, and to this union Shantae, Kelvin Jr (K.B) and Rameika,  Kelvin Sr., also leaves behind a second son Ke'Von Davis.

Kelvin found his way to Hill City Kansas, then to Kansas City, Kansas where he continued his career as a Substance Abuse Clinical Counselor. He developed and implemented a program called (Project Turn-Around) that is still being implemented today in the state of Kansas.

Kelvin had grown spiritually within his journey and has since become a member of Zion Travelers MBC., (Pastor Ballew) of Kansas City, Kansas.  He frequently spoke of his spiritual journey with his brother's twin Keith, and Rev. Gamel (Mel). He had just recently shared a scripture with his daughter Rameika, that touched him dearly., Galatians 6:2 Bearing One Another's Burdens.

The Sun set on Kelvin , August 7, 2024, at 7:47pm. He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Shantae of Las Vegas, Nv, Rameika (Christopher-son in-law) of Indianapolis, In, two sons Kelvin Jr. (KB) of South Carolina, Ke'von of Kansas City, Ks., eight grandchildren Brittany, Camille, Ebony, Jeremiah, Issiah, Elijah, Keyshawn, Kelvin III (BK), five great grandchildren; Kross, Marlii, Kevin Adrian, Kaedan, and Amir. His siblings, twin Keith (Minnet-sister-in-law), Rev. Gamel (Mel) (Janice-sister-in-law), Hubert (Kaye- sister-In-law preceded in death), two half-brothers Ronald (Ronny), Anthony, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins.
