Kevin Lamar Bush Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 22, 2022.  He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on January 24, 1972, to Van Johnson Sr. and Warrenetta Bush-McDaniel.  He was preceded in death by his father, Van Johnson Sr., and his grandparents, Warren Crosby Bush, Sr., Doris Taylor Bush, Steve Harris, and Mittie Johnson.

Kevin attended Carver Christian grade school and Hickman Mills high school in Kansas City, Missouri.  He graduated from Ralston High School in Ralston, Nebraska, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Management at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, an HBCU.

Kevin was baptized at an early age at Swope Parkway Church of Christ.  He attended Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ, before moving to Ralston, Nebraska in 1987.

Kevin started his career with Firestone in Arkansas, later transitioning to Store Manager for Tires Plus in both Missouri and Nebraska. Ultimately, he evolved to currently being Retail District Manager at Big O Tires/TBC.

Kevin was a beacon of love and light for his family and those who knew of his generous nature.  He was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, avid music lover, had the most infectious smile, and genuinely never met a stranger.

In 1996, Kevin was united in marriage to his college sweetheart, Yolonda Primer. To this union three children were born. All of his children and grandchildren were unequivocally his pride and joy.

Kevin will forever be cherished and remembered by his beautiful children, his eldest child, Kelsey Williams (Little Rock, AR), Briana Bush (Maumelle, AR), Kevin Bush Jr., Kadan Bush (Grandview, MO), and Zi'Aire Bush (Kansas City, MO); his mother, Warrenetta McDaniel; stepfather, Simueal McDaniel, whom he loved dearly; two grandchildren, Kiyon Jr. and Kyla Johnson (both of Maumelle, AR); loving siblings, Van Johnson Jr. (Fayetteville, NC), Tanika Bush (Papillion NE), Tiffany Johnson (Dannie) Cotton of San Francisco, CA), Van (Keishla) Johnson III, Nathaniel Johnson, and Kaliyah Johnson all of Las Vegas, NV, Awndre (Stephanie) McDaniel of Beatrice, NE, and Tonia Cochran (Grandview, MO); special loved ones, Jessica James, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends are also left to relish in his remembrance.

To say Kevin was merely a loving man would be putting it lightly, because he was so much more than that. He was an intelligent, compassionate, outgoing man, who was always ready to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Kevin left an incredibly unforgettable legacy and will be deeply missed by those who were blessed by his presence.

Services for Mr. Bush will be held 11:00am Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 9:00am until service time Tuesday at the church.
