Kinya Shenell Weaver was born September 2, 1978, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Ruben & Mildred Weaver.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Weaver; maternal and paternal grandparents.

Kinya left this earthly life on November 7, 2025, at Kansas University Medical Center.

Kinya received her education in the Kansas City, Kansas School District.  Her lifelong passion was working on cars.  She received her auto mechanic certification in 1998.

Kinya professed a belief in Jesus Christ at a young age and was baptized by her great uncle Elder Henry.

Kinya leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Ruben Weaver, Sr.; son, Jerome Davis; daughter, Emoreja Phillips; brother, Ruben Weaver, Jr. (Fatima); sisters, Sherrja Cline and LaTasha LaNear; niece, Yazmine Pittman; nephew, Cedric Pittman; special cousin, Kernisha LaNear; her best friend, Misty; and a host of family and friends.
