Larry Scott Snead was born May 8, 1959, to Roy S. and Amanda Snead in Kansas City, MO.  He was the third off our children.    He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Stephen Snead.

Larry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.  He was a 1977, Lincoln High School graduate.  After high school he furthered his education attending Lincoln University in 1977.  He left Lincoln University seeking employment with Lake City Ammunition Plant, where he was a loyal employee from 1981 to 1998.  After leaving Lake City, he was employment at General Mills where he would later retire in September 2020.

Larry enjoyed bowling where he was a part of a bowling league for several years.  His hobbies included fishing, grilling, listening to music and entertaining his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving wife of twenty seven years, Carolyn Snead; stepson, William Hayslett; two brothers, Bryan Snead and Anthony (Tammy) Snead; sister-in-law, Lawanda (Marvin) Sinville all of Kansas City, MO; a special cousin, Terri Franklin; three special friends, Wilson Smith, Scott Wilkerson and Elijah Knight and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Snead will be held 7:00 P.M, Friday, April 2, 2021, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Friends may call from 6:00 P.M. until service time Friday at the chapel.
