Mr. Lincoln Edgar III was born on June 3, 1979, with his twin sister, Carrie to the union of Carrie Edgar (Utley) and Lincoln Edgar in Kansas City, MO. He accepted Christ into his life at a young age. Growing up, Lincoln was well known as being an energetic and playful child, never shying away from curiosity or horsing around with family. As a proud Viking at Northeast High School, he excelled at his passion for sports and accumulated multitude of friendships with his charm and jokester spirit that lit up the lives of anyone he would come across..

Lincoln attended higher education at Kemper Military School and Lincoln University. After his schooling, Lincoln worked for Niles Home for Children, where he mentored youth as a supervisor for years. His talents for sports and relating to the youth led him to referee part time at football and basketball games throughout Kansas City, further growing the span of his influence in people's lives and their admiration of him. He then worked as a custodian at Wabtec Global Services until his leukemia diagnosis in 2019.

Despite the obstacles set before him, Lincoln rarely showed signs of struggle throughout treatment. When others around him may have crumbled at the news or worried for his wellbeing and needs, Lincoln always let people know that the fight wasn't done and that he was fine. And when times became too overwhelming for him, he leaned on his faith in the Lord as well as the love of his family to get him through and never accepted defeat.

During the final hours of his life, Lincoln was surrounded by the love of his family and children at KU Medical Center. His father Lincoln Edgar preceded him in death.

He leaves behind to remember him: his mother, Carrie I. Edgar of Kansas City, MO; his children Jayda Edgar, Giavanni Cook, Mikaela Edgar, Malachi Edgar, and Serenity Coleman; siblings Robert Utley, Terrie Utley, Courtney Edgar, Carrie F. Edgar, Tarenda Dilworth, Stallone Utley, and Candie Hill; as well as an abundance of extended family and friends who will continue to hold Lincoln in their hearts and miss the exuberant joy he brought into their lives. Services for Mr. Edgar will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial Blue Ridge Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may call 9:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
