Lorenzo Gene Tutt, Sr. was born March 30,1938 in Versailles, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his first wife Sandra Haywood, his second wife Julia McKee, and one daughter Sherri Tutt.

Lorenzo attended Elementary School in Versailles.  His mother moved him to Kansas City, Missouri in 1952 where he attended Lincoln High School.  He graduated in 1956.  After graduating, he went to work for Macy's Department Store.

In 1959, Lorenzo married Sandra Haywood and to this union, two children were born, Sherri Tutt and LorenzoTutt, Jr..  Sandra passed in 1966.  Later, Lorenzo married Julia in 1974 and they merged their two families together. They were married for 42 years until her passing in October 2016. Lorenzo met Michelle McKinney in 2019 whom he was with until his homegoing.

In 1963, Lorenzo joined the Kansas City, Missouri Fire Department.  He retired in 1995.  He was an active member of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 42 and the Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters.

He leaves behind his four children: Lorenzo G. Tutt, Jr., Katrina McCoy, Edmond Brooks, and Evelyn Jones; seven grandchildren: Rakisha Theiss (Chris), Brittany Hughes (Jason), Lorenzo Tutt, III (Milissa), LaToi Works (Joe), Christina Dilworth (Lex), Edmond Brooks, IV (Hannah), Kristian Brooks and nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law Clararice Dandridge.

Services for Mr. Tutt will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc.  Burial at Longview Cemetery.  Friends may call 10:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
