Lori Ann Gee was born to Roy Lee and Marilyn Hughes on October 31, 1960, in Kansas City Missouri.  She gave her life to Christ at an early age.  Lori attended St. John Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Thomas F. McCormick, where she served in the youth and young adult choir. She was also a member of the Jr. Mission and served on the usher board.

She attended J.S. Chick Elementary and Southeast Middle School graduating from Southeast High School class of 1978. Following high school she attended Penn Valley Community College majoring in Fashion Merchandising.

Lori was in various administrative roles for AT&T, Gateway, UMKC and retired from Brookside Frontier Math and Science Academy.

She enjoyed the company of her family and friends, socializing, cooking and entertaining.  She also had an affinity for beauty, fashion, and writing. Lori was affectionately known as "Lolo" by many.

She became a mother to her only child, Alyssa Danielle Shephard to whom she was incredibly close.  She will be remembered for being beautiful both inside and out, charming, immensely kind, warm, generous and thoughtful.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her daughter, Alyssa; sisters, Pamela, Mara, Yolanda and Minnie; nieces and nephews, Freddie, Ashlyn, Jeffery, Miya and Jason and a host of beloved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn V. Gee; her father, Roy Lee Hughes; stepfather, James W. Gee; sister, Merrie D. Gee and nephew, Maurice J. Reynolds.

Services for Ms. Gee were held 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 15, 2022, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private Disposition.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the chapel.
