Louise R. Hooker was born on October 27, 1934 and went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2022.  Mother Hooker was born to Otis Furlow and Leola Bronex.  Her two sons, Reverend L.T. Hooker, Jr. and Mark Dwayne Hooker; her stepdaughter, Grace Davis; 2 sisters and 4 brothers preceded her in death.

Mother Louise Hooker was a virtuous woman.  Her life reflected (Proverbs 31: 11-31) until the end.  Mother Hooker, the wife of Reverend L.T. Hooker, was an outstanding Sunday school teacher and a mentor to many.  Reverend L.T. Hooker and Louise Hooker were the founders of Lewis and Sons Bedding Company, which was in business for 30+ years.  She was the first and only wife to Reverend L.T. Hooker of Nineth Street Gideons Missionary Baptist Church.

Our mother Louise Hooker was always loving, caring, and doing for any and everyone else.  She found good in people even when they had faults.  Mother Hooker was never judgemental and most of all, Mother Hooker loved praising the Lord, singing praises to the Lord and staying in prayer.  She loved her family and she always stayed in prayer until she breathed her last breath.

Mother Hooker will be greatly missed.

Louise Hooker Leaves to Cherish her memories to her 2 sons, Louis Hooker "fats" and Reverend Willie Hooker.  Her 2 daughters, Eddie Mae Chatmon, Geneva Hooker and her Daughter-in-law Ruby Hooker.  She also leaves her memories to her 3 sisters, Lillie Grentry, Rose Furlow, Mary Hunter, and her brother Reverend Otitis Furlow, and with a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and other relatives.

In conclusion, grandma left many memories for us to hold and cherish.  May they Rest In Peace.

Visitation for Mrs. Hooker will be held at 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Graveside service at Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until graveside service time at the cemetery.
