Louise Jones was born September 6, 1937 to the late Alvin Stovall Jr. and Clemmie (Brown) Stovall in Clarksdale, Ms.  She was the eldest of three children born to this union.  Both parents have preceded her in death.  Louise departed this life on February 21,2019 at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas at the age of 81 years old.

Louise and her parents moved to the Kansas City area when she was a young child.  She attended R.T. Coles Vocational High School in Kansas City, Missouri.  She completed her high school education and obtained a Cosmetologist license.

In 1958 she united in holy matrimony to Lonnie Jones, Sr.  Lonnie also proceeded her in death.  To this union, six children were born 3 sons and 3 daughters.  Louise enjoyed the role of wife and mother and embraced all family activities with joy and enthusiasm.  She took pride in caring for those who needed it most.  Louise was a care giver to her mother in the 1970's, husband in 1980's and her disable son Anthony most recently.

Louise worked outside of the home for Milgram's Grocer as an Account Payable Clerk and retired after 17 years of service.  She took a leap of faith to become an Entrepreneur and purchased Coffey's Health Food Center in 1985.  Louise always had an interest in health and wellness and thrived at the health food business.  Louise continued with the Health Food business until 2008 at which time she retired.

Louise participated in community activities including Treasure of the Inner-City Armature Athletic Association.  This organization provided inner city kids with and organized baseball league.  Louise was also an Ombudsman for Nursing Homes in the greater Kansas City area.  In the role of Ombudsman, she worked as an advocate for residents of Nursing homes to help address resident complaints and issues.  Speaking for those who needed help.

Louise accepted Christ at an earlier attending Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.  She became anchored in her Christianity in 1979 when she joined Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Isaiah Henderson, Jr.  She participated in many groups at Friendship.   Singing in the Friendship Choir, Women's Missionary Group, Sunday School Class Secretary, and Business League for Entrepreneurs.  Louise also sang in the New Era District Choir for several years.

She leaves to celebrate her memory and honor her legacy 3 sons: Lonnie Jones Jr. (Cynthia) of Lawrenceville, GA; Anthony Jones, and Larry Jones (Regina) of Kansas City, MO.  3 daughters Ardelia Brown (Eric) of Kansas City, MO; Tina Bradley (Lance) of Cumming, GA, and Cynthia Jones of Suwanee, GA.  1 brother Cecil Stovall of Indianapolis, In and 1 sister Elaine Britt of Kansas City, MO.  She is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Service for Mrs. Jones will be held 11:00 A.M.  Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. James A. Terrance, Jr. officiating.  Burial Mount Moriah Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
