Mae Bertha Terry passed peacefully from this life the morning of Friday, May 29, 2020, after her gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.

Mae B. Terry was born April 10, 1934, in Morven, North Carolina to the late James E. Terry Sr. and Nellie O. Terry.  She attended Pennsauken High School in Pennsauken, New Jersey and furthered her education in 1990, by obtaining her GED in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed her role as a manager of Philadelphia Regency Apartments for over twenty years.  Her determination and spark of loving others moved her into a new role at Horizon House, where she later retired.  Following retirement, Mae enjoyed helping and loving others and refused to sit down and relax, which led her to multiple roles throughout her long lived life, including her career at the Olathe School District.

Her interest included traveling, riding motorcycles, ocean viewing on her yacht, playing her phone application games, winning big or small at the casino, and her family. She devoted much of her time and energy loving and supporting her family.  Her charm, feistiness, kindness, and smile would enlighten the room.  Mae was full of life and most importantly she had an eternal love for her family.  She had a strong connection with her family members that will be forever missed.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Betty Davis, Anita Smith, and Yvonne Pratt.

Mae is survived by: her siblings, Thomasenia Bell, Delores (Ann) Shepherd, Shirley Whitcomb, and James Terry Jr.; four children, Bobby Ephram Jr., Terry Ephram, Brigitte Terry, and Charles Potter Jr.; nineteen grandchildren, Bobby, Darryl, Donny, Jeanate, Sharlene, Jacqueline, Odatta, Keyani, Terry Jr., Denisha, Tyeasha, Tanisha, Fateen, Saundra, Tiffany, Charles III, Christopher, Drew, and Chance and a host of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends to included her dearest friends, Carlton, Gladys, and Ruby.

Services for Ms. Terry will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 6, 2020, at E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial Sandy Ridge Missionary Cemetery Morven, NC.  Visitation 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the chapel.
