"NOW PRESENTING"

Born Marcelline Cinseros on November 26, 1933, in Kansas City, Missouri to her parents Violet V. Benzs, Greer, Cinseros and Hill Cinseros. Her father Hill Cinseros as of Spanish decent, passed away when she was one (1) year old. Both parents preceded her in death. Marcelline lived with her grandmother Tennyson in Paola, Kansas until she was in second grade. At the age of seven (7), her step-father Grady S. McGee adopted her and gave her two names, Marcelline McGee and "Big Sis."

"THE RISE OF A LEADING LADY"

At the age of 13, she was baptized at Greystone Heights Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Burns.  She attended Douglas grade school at 26th and Belleview and R. T. Cole Vocational School until the 11th grade.

"ROOTED IN LOVE"

In 1950, her first son was born, Jerry Ernell McGee. In 1951, Marcelline met Theo Lang and they were married on May 22, 1951. To this union, nine (9) children were born.  Theo Lang, Jr., Wardell Lang (Deceased), Warren Lee Lang, Maurice Lang (Deceased), Michael Wayne Lang, Bruce Anthony Lang, Katherine Marcell Lang-Harris, Christlena Maria Lang-Lockhart, and Paula Yvette Lang.  Jerry Ernell was adopted by Theo Lang and his name was later changed to Jerry Ernell Lang.  This marriage was dissolved in 1972.

"A JOYFUL LIFE"

Marcelline grew spiritually at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church. She joined the church on February 8, 1970.  During her years at Prince of Peace, she served on the Mother Board and held various officer positions; including make flower arrangements, corsages, and boutonneieres for various programs under the leadership of Reverend Joseph Clark.

She worked in the medical field all her adult life, at Leeds T. B. Hospital, Baptist Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital, and private duty at St. Luke's Home Health Care.

After she retired, she spent her spare time making flower arrangements and hosting flower shows.  She served as the President of the Seton Center Senior Buddy Club and was a member of the tenant association at Martin Luther King Village.

You could find her at a local thrift shop, Hobby Lobby, or in her living room watching her beloved sports.

But above all, she passed on the wisdom and teachings of cooking and decorating to her nine (9) children, 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 40 great-great grandchildren...and counting.

The most fulfilling part of her life, besides her immediate family, was the love she received from her step-father. Gary S. McGee.  He taught her how to get past the hurt, and that family comes first.

"FINAL CURTAIN CALL"

On June 22, 2026, Marcelline took her final bow and transitioned into sweet rest.

"LIGHTS DIM, LOVE REMAINS"

Marcelline leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love to be cherished by her sisters, Brenda Reynolds, Dora McGee, and Darlene Malone (Grant); brothers, Phillip McGee, Andrew McGee (Edna), and Roger McGee (Pam); her children, Jerry Lang (Glyndia), Katherine Harris (Jerry), Theo Lang, Christlena Lockhart (Matthew), Warren Lang, Michael Lang (Regina), Bruce Lang (Shawn), and Paula Lang; 26 Grandchildren, 37 Great-Grandchildren, 40 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

"HER STORY LIVES ON"

Marcelline's love was a gift that extended far beyond herself.  Her warmth, strength, generosity, and unforgettable spirit created a legacy that time can never erase.  Though she has taken her final rest, her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know, love, and be loved by her.
