Sister Margaret "Aunt Moonie" Tolbert was born to the late Hazie Gates and the late Tommy Gordon on December 12, 1944.

Margaret accepted Christ at an early age. She moved to Kansas City Mo. With her husband Samuel C Tolbert Sr.

After residing in Kansas City, she joined Damascus Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member. Her passion was singing.

She worked at Truman Medical Center for a number of years, also worked at Highland Rehabilitation Health Center for a few years.

Margaret was the coordinator at Justice and Dignity Centers Seniors First Program for 3 and a half years where she made sure every person had a meal. She will be truly missed from that position.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Samuel C. Tolbert Sr., Mother Hazie Gates, Father Tommy Gordon, 4 Sisters and 7 Brothers.

Margaret leaves to cherish her life and memory: three Sisters Diane Frelot of Sulphur Lousiana, Mary Frelot of Spring Texas. and Claudia Wright of Fairfield, California; one Brother Thomas Gates of Vallejo, California; Her longtime friend Matthew Dixon of Kansas City, Missouri and Carlita Millbrooks of Kansas City, Missouri (who known as her adopted daughter with her grandchildren); and a host of Nieces and Nephews and Friends.
