Marsha Darlene Dees was born on October 14 ^th to the union of Mattye Marie (Freeman) Dees and McKinley Dees in Kansas City, Kansas.  Her parents preceded in her death.  On October 1, 1977, James Edward Johnson, Jr. from Memphis, Tennessee and Marsha Johnson were married for 18 years. Born from this marriage were Monique Deena Johnson, James McKinley Johnson and Candice Elizabeth Johnson.

Marsha, at a young age travel the United States with her mother.  She graduated from Bishop Lillis High School. She attended Business College to become a Court Reporter.  She further her career at United States Postal Service and her career ended at Children's Mercy Hospital.

She had a wonderful spirit and was loved by many who crossed her path.  During her final years, she spent time with her friends at Englewood Vista playing bingo and cards.  She shared her lots of stories and laughs.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Dees will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 22, 2020, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private Disposition.
