Ms. Mary Dell Tatum was born in the state of Arkansas on September 26, 1932 to the late Mrs. Annie B. Tatum and Mr. Will Tatum. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age.

Ms. Tatum was a member of Harmony CME Church where she faithfully served until she left her hometown to attend college at Arkansas AM&N (UAPB).  After college, Mary moved to Kansas City, MO to begin a career as a LPN of which she worked for several years until she changed careers working for AT&T where she retired.  Upon moving to Kansas City, Mary joined Friendship Baptist Church where she faithfully and actively served until God called her home.

Ms. Tatum peacefully departed this life on Friday, April 19th, 2019 at her home to join her parents, her 3 brothers: David D. Tatum, Joseph A. Tatum and Samuel L. Tatum.  She leaves to cherish her memory, 1 brother: Henry B. Tatum of San Antonio, TX; 4 sisters: Lettie M. Nicholson of Little Rock, AR, Helen T. Jones of Memphis, TN, Martha R. Kyle and Mary F. Coleman both of Chicago, IL., cousins, nieces, nephews, a host of relatives, church family and friends.

Service for Ms. Tatum will be held 11:00 A.M.  Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. James A. Terrance, Jr. officiating.  Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the church.
