Mary Mcdade Webb's Obituary
Mary McDade Webb was born October 10, 1923, in Haughton, Louisiana the seventh of eight children born to the union of Henry and Odlee Patterson McDade. Her father, mother all of her siblings and her beloved husband preceded her to heaven.
She was raised in a Christian home and attended Mount Pigsah Church as a youth.
Mary met and married Luther Webb in 1946, in Haughton, Louisiana. They moved to Los Angeles, California for a short time before settling in Kansas City, Missouri late in 1946. Upon arriving in Kansas City, the Webb family became faithful members of Jamison Memorial Temple CME Church for the duration of their lives. After living in various locations, they settled on Park Avenue in 1951.
She was a housekeeper for a short time, but was known as an outstanding homemaker. She was famous for her cooking; particularly for her baking. She also went by the nickname "City".
Mrs. Webb departed this life on the evening of Thursday, October 25, 2018.
She leaves to mourn her homegoing: her son, Patrick and his fiancé Le'Nea Cargo-Webb; daughter, Dorothy Purse all of Kansas City, MO and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Webb will be held 1100 A.M. Friday, November 9, 2018, at Jamison Temple Memorial CME Church. Burial Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the church.
