Melvin "Mac" Curry's Obituary
Melvin Curry was born December 16, 1951, to Eloise Curry in Birmingham, Alabama. He was raised in Dothan Alabama. Melvin was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise; grandmother, Hattie Anderson and his wife, Deborah Curry.
After receiving his G.E.D, Melvin went on to attend trade school. After dodging the military for some time, he joined the U. S Army, where he remained for 20 year. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army he worked at the USPS in janitorial services for 17 years.
Melvin and Deborah Sue Jones were united in marriage June 27, 1991. Deborah preceded him in death in May 2016.
Melvin passed away at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at his home from a disease he battled with for years.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Jaala Curry, Brandon Curry, Robert Jones, III, Kimberly Jones, Destini Pierson and Raina Jones and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Mr. Curry will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 21, 2018, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
