Born March 8th, 1963, in Anchorage, Alaska. to the parents of Henry and Sallie Dixson (preceded in death). Michael Dwayne Dixson came into this world to show his love to people and that is exactly what he did. His family settled in Kansas City, Missouri and that is where he would grow up and would spend his adult life.

He attended Kansas City Public Schools and graduated from Van Horn High School in 1981. After High School, he attended The University of Kansas (KU) and graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Business and Human Resources in 1987.

In his early years out of college, he started his corporate work at The Census Bureau where he would meet the mother of his two Children. He, then, worked at AT&T for many years where he met a lot of good co-workers. Worked a short stint at LabOne. After that, he worked at TimeWarner/Spectrum where he connected with colleagues.

In the last decade of his beautiful life, he mainly spent time taking care of his elderly parents and grandmother. Michael loved watching and cheering for KU basketball, enjoying time with his grandbabies and cracking never ending jokes. He was a dedicated sports junkie and "Young and The Restless" fanatic. Michael LOVED his Family.

Preceding him in death is his mother and grandparents.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, Henry; two beautiful sisters, Cynthia and Karen; ex-wife, Regina; two amazing sons, Collin and Justin; four grandbabies that were his WORLD, Brooklyn, Wesley, Izabell, and Hazelyn; wonderful nieces and nephews, April, T.J., Chris and Audrey; along with a slew of other family, friends, co-workers, church members, and schoolmates that will truly miss him.
