Michael Deshawn Groves , 39, was born on August 29, 1984 in Kansas City, MO to Yvette Groves and Cleveland Poplar. He entered eternal peace on June 8, 2024.

Michael moved to Fort Worth, TX from Kansas City, Mo., in  2010.  While there he attended and became a member at Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of William T. Glynn where he was re-baptized on July 3, 2016.

Michael graduated from Center High School in Kansas City, Missouri, June 2003 and he obtained his Associates Degree from Colorado Technical University, in Health Administration Services in November 2016.  He worked for HMS for 10 years in TX then returned to KC where he worked at Midwest Exterminator.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Cleveland Poplar, grandfather, Harold Groves Sr, grandmother, Nizell Poplar-Fuller, and sister, Anita Poplar

Michael was known for his generous spirit, always willing to help others and known to give his last no matter who they were. Michael was good at always pulling pranks on  people. His infectious smile brightened the lives of those around him, and he held his family close to his heart. His favorite line when he saw any of his cousins was, "What's up Cuzzo" or when he saw his brother he would say "what's up bro bro" or when he seen his mother he would say "hello beautiful."

He leaves to cherish his memories, mother, Yvette Groves of Kansas City, Mo; siblings Kenneth Groves of Kansas City, Mo, Gary Williams (Tammy) and Clifford Davis both of Grand Junction, Tn,; grandmother, Connie Groves Anderson Fort Worth, Texas; aunts, Latonya Groves of Fort Worth, Tx ; Nicole Stark, San Diego, CA, Ester Williams (Larry) of Kansas City, Mo and uncles; Harold Groves Jr. (Marsha) and Michael Groves both of Aurora, CO., Anthony Groves of Wichita, Ks., Don Poplar of Michigan City, Ms, Keith ? (Andromeda) of Kansas City,  Mo, Nicolas Stark, Kansas City, Mo, and Jamaal Norwood, Kansas City, Mo; niece Kyndall Groves of Kansas City, Mo, and a host of family and friends.
