Mildred Ysobia Simpson was born from the union of Richard Lowe and Mary Agnes Hutton, September 12, 1930, in Eufaula, Oklahoma.

Mildred lived on the farm in Eufaula, OK and completed her high school education and moved to Kansas City, MO where she studied Nursing and achieved her Registered Nursing Status at the old Segregated General Hospital #2.

She joined the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church A Congregation of Jesus Christ August 5, 1962, under the pastoral ship of Rev. I. H. Henderson, Jr. and was an active member with the Missionary Circle and the Sunday School Department.

On January 6, 1951, she married Henry Robinson II and from that union two children, Henry Robinson III, who preceded her in death and Dwight C. Robinson, Sr. were born.  After the untimely death of Henry Robinson II, she continued to raise her two boys.

Later on she met Nolan F. Simpson and they were married in November 1958.  Two son were born to that union, David R. Simpson and Ronnell E. Simpson Sr.

Mildred left her employment at General Hospital #2 and moved to Menorah Medical Center, where she remained for 45 years as a Registered Nurse.

Mildred was a strong dedicated woman that loved her 4 boys and family.  She could be heard saying: "There was nothing she brought into this world she is scared of…" She would also say, "She was preparing her boys to cook, clean, sew, iron, cut grass, pray and anything she could do they were going to do!"

Mrs. Simpson departed this earthly life on Friday, August 7, 2020.

She is survived by: one brother, Richard A. Lowe of Detroit, MI; three sons, Dwight C. Robinson, Sr., David R. Simpson and Ronnell E. Simpson, Sr. both of Kansas City, MO and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Services for Mrs. Simpson will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 14, 2020, at Friendship Baptist Church.  Burial Brooking Cemetery. Visitation 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
