Miller Jean Rainey was born on July 30, 1931, in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Johnny and Ethel Warren. As the fourth of six children, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Leamon Polk, Johnny Warren, Jr., and Climmie Warren; two sisters, Gladys Hodges and Thelma Taylor.

The family moved from Eufaula to Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she attended and graduated from Manual Training. After graduation, Miller moved to Kansas City following her older siblings.

She was hired at Lake City Ammunition Plant, where she worked until she completed her training to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Miller worked at St. Mary's Hospital until it closed. She then worked at Trinity Hospital until she retired.

Miller joined Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ, under the leadership of Pastor Earl Abel. She volunteered at the Palestine Senior Activity Center, in the Ice Cream Parlor and at Camp Palestine, in the Kitchen. She, faithfully and proudly, served on the Senior Usher Board until her health began to decline.

Miller enjoyed her flower garden, decorating her house, travelling, and making her famous lemon cakes.

Miller entered into eternity on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 93, in the home of her daughter. She was surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Jackie (Johnnie) Smith, Pamela Pearson, and Terrie Payne; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
