Monica Oliver, 42, went home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospice Care.  She was born April 7, 1977, to the union of Pamela Oliver and Kenneth Golf in Kansas City, MO.  She was preceded in death by her father; aunt, Shelia Dudley and uncle, Tyrone.

She attended Northeast High School.  She later had six beautiful children; two sons also preceded her in death, Frederick and Deandra.   Later in life she met the love of her life, Fiancé Leon King.  They spent the last 21 years of her life together.

She worked in retail for Rainbow Clothing store and other local retail stores. She also volunteered at the Independence Boys & Girls Club, Hawthorne Community Center and several other churches and pantries.

Monica love hosting block parties, having game nights and most of all spending time with her 8 grandchildren, Keyanah Oliver, Kevin Oliver, Karden Oliver, Rhylan Oliver, December, Autumn and Novi.  Her biggest passion was taking pictures.  She loved capturing every moment when she was with her family and friends.  She was known as Auntie Monica from all over the neighborhood.  She was the life of the party, always bringing people together and enjoyed a good time.  Monica was the happiest when she had all of children in the same room.

Despite her failing health, she fought with so much compassion and an open heart until the end.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her fiancé, Leon King; mother, Pamela Oliver/Gregory Cheek (Smiley); son, Kevin Oliver; daughters, Monique Hollingsworth, Moaneesha Hardy, Monae Oliver; 3 brothers, DeAndra Oliver (Lawanna), Kenneth Oliver (Ashley), Keith Golf (Stacy); mother-in-law, Valerie King; godmother, Money Gardner; 2 aunts; 2 uncles; 3 special nephews; 4 special nieces; the Duley family and a host of cousins, family and friends.

Services for Ms. Oliver will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, December 14, 2019, at. E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the chapel.
