Naomi Clay , who was born May 29, 1936, to the late Mrs. Idella and Jerry Knox in Altheimer, Arkansas.  She was the second oldest of seven children.

Naomi united in Holy Matrimony with Lincoln Clay on March 12, 1963, and celebrated 47 years of marriage.  To this union, 7 children were born, Romana Taylor, Anita Atkinson, Marshall Clay, Claudeat Clay, Amase Clay, Lincoln Clay, Jr. and Gregory Clay.

Naomi received Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

Naomi attended Altheimer High School, then she moved to Detroit, Michigan in the early 1950s.

Naomi was a stay-at-home mother, raising her children and she was also involved in the community where she lived for many years. Naomi was a loving wife and mother and grandma.

She moved to Kansas City, MO in 2020.  She was loved by many.  She enjoyed going to the casino and listening to the blues and enjoying her family. Naomi would walk into the room and light the room up.  She loved her family so dearly.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lincoln C. Clay, Sr.; daughter, Anita Atkinson; son, Marshall Clay; daughter, Claudeat Clay; son, Gregory Clay; grandson, Edwin Clay; granddaughter, Kenyanna Atkinson; grandson, Donell Clay, Jr.; and sister, Judy Wyrick.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory: two daughters Romana Taylor and Amase Clay both of Detroit, Michigan; and son, Lincoln Clay, Jr. of Independence, MO; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a four great great grandchildren; sisters, Jerry Dunn of Kansas City, MO and Melody Blankenship of Kansas City, MO, Amase Clay of Detroit, MI; brothers, Sylvester Knox (Lolease) of East St. Louis, IL and James Knox (Debora) of Southfield, MI; and a host of family and friends.
