Ocie Pankey, Jr. was born May 13, 1966, to the union of Ocie and Eldoris Pankey, Sr. in Saint Paul, MN.

Ocie began his educational journey in Saint Paul, MN at St. Peter Claver and Central High School.  He obtained his high school diploma at Humboldt High School in 1984.

Ocie met and married his best friend, Joyce Jordan, in 1992.  To this union Ocie Pankey, III was born.  Ocie gave his life back to Christ in 2007.  He strived to do better by those that he connected with.  He was always in good spirits, the family comedian and always there to lend a helping hand.  He was an entrepreneur, cook, barber, and an "eater" of good foods.  His favorite past hobbies were fishing, traveling, playing cards and dominoes, and listening to good music.  Ocie also enjoyed his family and friends and being in their presence.

He valued family and lead as next in line as the "Pankey" family patriarch.

Ocie departed this life January 12, 2022.  He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Oice and Eldoris Pankey, Sr. and grandmother, Virginia Hayes "Little Mama."

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Ocie Pankey, III; 4 grandchildren, Lyric Dickerson-Pankey, Alexandria Wesley-Pankey, Trell Bugg and Antoinette Mayo, all from Minnesota; sisters, Charlnita Renee of Kansas City, KS, and Tyra Lynn Pankey of Minnesota; niece, Ayanna Muhammad; and nephew, Vernon Adams, Jr.; aunt, Hortense Wilson of Wichita, KS and a host of cousins, close friends, and associates.

Ocie had a gentle and humorous personality and was loved and inspired by many.  He will be greatly missed.

Services for Mr. Pankey will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 29, 2022, at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel.  Private disposition.  Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the chapel.
