Ollie departed his earthly home in Kansas City, Missouri and transitioned to his heavenly home April 15, 2020. He was born on June 26, 1931 in Lott, Texas.  To the union of Ollie Outley, Sr. and Erma O'Nail from this union seven children were born. He is preceded in death by his wife Adell Outley; both parents; one sister, Hazel White; three brothers, Edward Lee Outley, Lessie Lee Outley, and Richard Outley; and granddaughter Angela Renee' Lister.

Ollie attended Albert High School in Waco, Texas.  At an early age, Ollie had to drop out of school to find work to help support the family.

In 1947, Ollie married.  One daughter was born from this union. Ollie moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1959.  His first job in Kansas City was a mechanic at Classic Morse Chevrolet in Overland Park, Kansas.  This job was from 1959 to 1962.

In 1961, Ollie married Adell Lister.  Two sons were born from this union. In 1964, Ollie applied for a job at the Armco Steel Plant.

In 1972, Ollie joined the Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church where his wife attended.  He was baptized by the late Rev. Wallace S. Hartsfield, Sr. Ollie was asked, by the late Cleo Franklin, to be an assistant baseball coach for Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church.  This position represented the Christian Youth Association. The late Deacon Cecil Smith, Sr. asked Ollie to become a member of the Men's Bible Study Group.  Whatever or whenever he was asked to do something for the church, he didn't hesitate unless he had to work.

On his off days, Ollie enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching westerns and enjoyed watching his Dallas Cowboys football team on the television.  Every August, the family would attend the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, Missouri.  He retired, after 38 years of service, as a Bell Handler at Armco Steel Plant.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories, Ollie Outley, III (Vickie) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Oliver Outley of Kansas City, Missouri; Esther Baker of Waco, Texas; step son, Leonard Lister of Kansas City, Missouri; three step daughters, Rose Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri, Anita Bell of Kansas City, Missouri, and Onita (James) Bradley of Kansas City, Missouri; brother Robert (Sally) Outley of Kansas City, Missouri; Billy Joe of Waco, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Service for Mr. Outley will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 23, 2020, at the E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial Mount Moriah Cemetery.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the chapel.
