Omer Gene Coleman Jr., was born in Kansas City MO to Omer Gene Coleman Sr. and Sarah Lee Coleman on September 4, 1953. He was the 3rd born of 6 siblings. To the family he was known as Junior, but to some of his friends he was known as Master Blaster.

Omer was a graduate of Southeast High School in Kansas City MO. After graduating, he studied at Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City MO and Charlie Parker Academy in Kansas City MO.

Omer retired from Internal Revenue Service in 2013 with 29 years of service. Other places of employment was Armco Steel and Southwestern Bell.

Some of Omer's greatest accomplishments was starting Master Blaster Productions in 1977, Coleman Remo Records in 1979, Coleman Broadcasting Network in 2001, Omer Gospel Music Awards Show 2001-2007, One Nation FM.Com Internet Radio Station from 2005-2013 and Chairman of the Gospel Announcer's Guild-Gospel Music Work Shop of America from 2002-2004. He was part of Left Ear Records Recording Artist-Melbourne Australia where his music was promoted.

At a young age Omer attended Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to church with his siblings and the older siblings took care of the younger ones when the parents weren't able to attend.  Omer knew the Lord and had faith and trusted in Him during his time battling with his health. He informed the family that everything was in God's hand and we should have the same trust and faith he has.

Omer's grand and great grandchildren were the love of his life. He often talked about the things he wanted to teach his great grandchildren. Little did they know he was talking about teaching them to use the lawn equipment to help him with his yard work.

As a child Omer was shy and soft spoken. As he grew older he started showing a strong interest in music and passed it on to his son. He showed off his talent of a very experience carpenter and remodeled the entire house he grew up in. We learned just recently that he was the master of grilling and loved to barbecue.

On November 17, 2020, Omer Gene Coleman Jr. left this world behind when he answered the Master's call to rest. He was 67 years old.

Omer was preceded in death by his father Omer Gene Coleman Sr; Mother, Sarah Lee Coleman, and son Omer Gene Coleman III.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory,  his daughter Tracie Coleman, his siblings, Mary Adofo, Johnston IA, Patricia Johnson San Diego CA, Jennifer Kerr, Kansas City MO, Alonzo Coleman, Moberly MO and Tamara Coleman, Kansas City MO; grandchildren, Brittani Emery and  D'Andre Jenkins; Great grandchildren, Shamar Emery and Skye Emery; aunts Edith Webb Verner, Wilmington NC and Freda Ford, Wilmington NC; nieces and nephews; DuShai Thomas, Bridget Lyons,, Kelly Lyons, Delbert Kerr Jr., Brandi Terrell, Alonzo Coleman Jr. Alexzandrea Young, Chandler Coleman and a host of extended family and friends.

Celebration of Life for Mr. Coleman will be held 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel North.
