Oscar Williams' Obituary
Oscar Williams, husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend of many died April 18, 2018, at the age of 74 leaving a great life for all who remain to remember.
Oscar, lovingly called "Big O," was born January 3, 1944, in Waldo, Arkansas and spent his early years in Arkansas and moved to Kansas City where he met his beautiful wife, Mattie Frances in 1961. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Ida Bell Williams, one sister, Alzola Payne, three brothers, Freddie Williams, Herman Williams and Ernest Williams.
Anyone who knew Oscar knew he was an excellent cook, dressed impeccably, enjoyed traveling and loved his fancy cars. Oscar had so much strength, determination, and wisdom. His motto was to "Look good, feel good, do good" and he lived everyday by those words. He admired his family and would just smile from ear to ear when talking about his wife, his daughters and grandchildren.
Oscar worked for more than 40 years as a Financial Advisor. He was a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable and the 100 Black Men of Greater Kansas City.
Oscar leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 56 years, Mattie Frances; four daughters, Pamela (Leroy) of Kansas City, Missouri; Sonia, Theresa, Erika (Rick) of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Johnny Williams (Yvonne) of Lee Summit, Missouri; one sister, Jamie Sue of Waldo, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jeffery Lewis, Jr. and India Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, Ashley Brown and Syann Williams of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and host of friends.

Services for Mr. Williams were held Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial Memorial Park Cemetery.
