Otis Eugene "Geno" Draper was born in Batesville, Mississippi to Eurel and Gertrude Draper on April 20, 1953. Otis and his family moved to Kansas City, MO in 1967.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized while still living in Mississippi. He attended Christian Tabernacle C.O.G.I.C. in Kansas City.

Otis was educated in the Kansas City MO Public Schools system and received his GED and attended Pioneer Community College.  He worked for the City of Kansas City MO, worked in construction, and other various jobs. He had a passion for home and car repairs, and computers. He was the neighborhood lawn service man. He loved music, playing cards, dominoes and grilling. He volunteered in the Manna Ministry at Forest Avenue Church until his health started to fail.

Otis departed this life on Thursday, October 21, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father Eurel Draper, brothers Melvin J. Draper and Leroy Avant.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving mother Gertrude Draper, three sons DeAndra Cullors, Kelvin Draper and Michael Ashley.  Five sisters Ella Kelly, Gwendolyn Draper, Maxine Draper, Rita Trotter and Patricia Draper. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Mr. Draper will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 1, 2021, at E. S. Eley and Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc.  Burial Brooking Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 A. M. until service time Monday at the chapel.
