Ozell Grady was born May 31, 1927, in Nashville, Georgia to Gus Moore and Roberta Davis Moore.  She was one of nine children.  Both parents, seven siblings and Elijah Jr. preceded her in death.  She accepted Christ at an early age.

Ozell was married to Elijah Grady, Sr. for fifty plus years until the time of his death.  Three children were born to this union, Elijah Jr., Ronnie and Wanda.  She left Georgia in 1953, with her two children to join her husband in Kansas City.  She retired from St. Joseph Hospital after 46 years of service.

Ozell attended Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully on the Usher board.  She was a strong willed, kind and very helpful woman and was loved by everyone that knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, David Moore of San Antonio, TX, sister, Ruby Thatcher of Kansas City, KS; son, Ronnie; daughter, Wanda (Edgar); she was blessed with four grandchildren, Shonelle Vatrice, Ronnie Steven, Darelle and Tayon; ten great-grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Ozell will be loved and missed forever.  God wanted her now.  God has set her free.  Thanks to all.

Services for Mrs. Grady will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 3, 2021, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.  Burial Leavenworth National Cemetery Tuesday, September 7, 2021, 10:00 A.M.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the chapel.
