Patricia Ann Golightly, affectionately known as "Pat", was born September 30, 1952, to the union of Garnell and Barbara Johnson in Kansas City, KS. Patricia was the second of four children. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Geneva Issac; father, Garnell Johnson; Husband, Henry C. Golightly; uncle, Howard C. Miller; 2 aunts, Clara Miller and Ella Logan; nephew, Jeffery Johnson and cousin, Herbert Dalton, Sr.

Patricia received her education in the Kansas City, MO School District.  She was born with the spirit to help and care for people.  After high school, Patricia relocated to San Jose, CA to help care for family.  During her time in San Jose, she met her cousin, Herbert's good friend, Henry C. Golightly, who she would marry and have 2 children, Jenny and Chris. Patricia traveled a lot in her 20s, but eventually relocated back to Kansas City where she worked in the service industry and home healthcare for over 30 years. Patricia's work ethic was unmatched.  Her dedication to any job or task brought her praise from every supervisor and coworker she worked with.  She eventually became a part time worker in the late 2000's, so she could care for her mother, Barbara.

Patricia loved the Lord and her family with her heart and soul.  She would sacrifice and give her last to ensure her family was cared for.  She was devoted to word of God and would spread his word to any listening ear, from a conversation with a customer at work to a prison ministry with her Calvary Chapel Church family.  She also loved to cook, known for her famous spaghetti and Sweet Potato Pies at all the family dinners.

All who encountered Patricia can only speak of her loving spirit and how she positively touched them in some way.  With her mother by her side, Patricia left this earth on January 14, 2019, to spend eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Barbara Johnson; 3 children, Jennifer "Jenny" Golightly, Christopher "Chris" Golightly and Aaron Bond (Sophia); 3 siblings, Chaneta Johnson, Terrell Johnson and Keith Block (Lydia); 5 grandchildren, LeTrice Kerr, Edward Kerr, Kristia Golightly, Tiffany Golightly and Aylesia Golightly; 2 great- grandchildren, Nevayh Kerr and Ny'La Kerr; 3 nieces and 2 nephews, Rhonda Hattley, Muriel Younger (Geoffrey), Sasha Block, Ronald Hattley and Charles Block; her Calvary Chapel Church of The Lord Jesus Christ family and a host of relatives and close friends.

Services for Mrs. Golightly will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, February 1, 2019, at Calvary Chapel Church of The Lord Jesus Christ.  Burial XII Gates Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the church.
